Karen engages in executive education and coaching for global companies based in Tokyo.
She obtained her MA in Crosscultural Communication from the University of Sydney.
Her research interests include corporate social responsibility, leadership communication, strategic framing, business ethics and cross-cultural management.

She is a part-time lecturer of Corporate Social Responsibility at the MBA program at the International University of Japan, Niigata, Japan.

She also teaches at Takasaki City University of Economics in Gunma, Japan.
